Buck Slip

The standardized formats used on all Iowa State University stationery items will ensure that every college, institute, center and unit can show its proper affiliation to this university. Buck slips are used for direct and informal internal communication. The elements on a buck slip are:

Iowa State University primary nameplate with or without the modifier "of Science and Technology"
Your college or department name
Address block consisting of the address, phone number, fax, and email
Your name and title
Selection of items to check off, i.e. "For your information", "As requested", "Returned", or "For your approval".
