Brochures

Because Iowa State University produces hundreds of brochures each year, it is important that they are designed so every one appears to be part of the same family. Even though there is considerable flexibility in the graphic techniques used in the design of brochures, through proper use of the visual identity guidelines they always should look like they come from Iowa State.

Brochures come in many sizes, formats, and proportions. The guidelines illustrated in this section are applicable to brochures of any size. The two most common size brochures are shown as examples: 4" x 9" brochures and 8 1/2" x 11" brochures.
